It’s Volunteers’ Week! Check out our new ‘Giving back to Sandwell’ page

It’s Volunteers’ Week 2023 (1-7 June). This is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities.

We thought this is an ideal time to share our new ‘Giving back to Sandwell’ resources page.

Volunteers’ Week and all year round

Sandwell is home to more than 1,000 community organisations. Whether they’re promoting good causes, fundraising, reducing loneliness, nurturing friendships or protecting our green spaces, they bring many benefits to our borough. Most of them are run by volunteers – people giving their time for free.

So this Volunteers’ Week and beyond, we are promoting the benefits of corporate volunteering.

Offering time, expertise or skills from your Sandwell business could be transformative for one of those community groups. It may have social, wellbeing and work-winning benefits for your team too. And it doesn’t need to demand a lot of your time and resources.

See current opportunities from Tipton Litter Watch, Let’s Go Sandwell and more. Check out our ‘Giving back to Sandwell’ resources page.
