Sandwell Council shortlisted at the 2025 Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards

Sandwell Business Ambassadors (SBA) are pleased to see Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council shortlisted in the Most Improved Council category at the 2025 Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards. This recognition highlights the significant progress made in recent years, benefiting residents and businesses alike.
As a group dedicated to supporting economic growth and business development in the borough, SBA works closely with the council on key initiatives that drive investment, create jobs and enhance opportunities for local businesses.

Commenting on the council’s shortlisting, Leader of Sandwell Council, Councillor Kerrie Carmichael, said:

Looking ahead
The LGC Awards are the biggest celebration of excellence in local government, recognising councils that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to transformation. The Most Improved Council category specifically highlights local authorities that have led significant organisational change to deliver better outcomes for their communities.
Judging will take place this spring, with the winners announced on 11 June 2025.
