Help shape Smethwick’s future – £20 million investment on the table

Local businesses and community leaders are being invited by the Smethwick Partnership Board (SWP) to have their say on how £20 million in government funding should be spent in Smethwick over the next decade.

Two ways to get involved

Smethwick is one of 75 UK towns selected for up to £20 million in long-term investment through the Government’s Plan for Neighbourhoods programme. The funding will support meaningful that reflects local priorities and your input is essential.

You can get involved in two key ways:

Complete the community survey

The SWP has launched a short online survey to gather views on what matters most to people in the town. It covers eight core themes:

Your feedback will help shape priorities and influence how the funding is allocated.

Attend one of eight local workshops

A series of in-person community workshops will take place across Smethwick between Monday 28 July and Friday 22 August 2025. These sessions are a chance to:

Workshops are free to attend but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
