Destination Wire Düsseldorf for the H&R ChemPharm (UK)

Cabling application challenge?

 …or simply looking for the latest innovations in cable compound technology?

Then a visit to the H&R ChemPharm (UK) stand should be top of your Wire Düsseldorf show itinerary.

H&R ChemPharm (UK) has over half a century’s experience in the development, manufacture and supply of cable compound technology.

Today, as a key supplier to a number of high profile international cabling projects, the business supports manufacturers and contractors in bringing  cost savings and infrastructure reliability.

This is achieved through the delivery of application solutions and support to a broad section of the cables industry through the development and supply of;

Mineral Oil based petroleum jelly compounds – specifically developed for telecommunication cables, in particular multi-pair copper conductor communication cables.

Mineral and synthetic thixotropic gels – developed for use as a moisture blocking and buffering compound in loose tube optical fibre telecommunication cable flooding applications.

These also include gels specifically developed for hydrogen absorbing fibre optic applications.

Dielectric fluids and impregnating compounds –saturants, oils and compounds providing dielectric insulation for paper and XLPE cables.

Superabsorbent polymer, (SAP) coatings, – developed for yarns, tapes and cable filling applications.

The benefits of SAP’s allow cable designers and manufacturer’s to incorporate particulate-free, water-swelling coating technology in their products allowing alternative cable water blocking opportunities to be exploited.

Cable Accessories – compounds for joint boxes, terminations and cable coating in HV and MV applications.

 H&R also plan to launch a low smoke cable compound product at Wire.

This synthetic elastomer has been formulated with specifically selected flame-proofing chemicals and mineral additives.   The technology brings a number of benefits – excellent flame retardant properties, along with good adhesion within the cable structure. This in turn allows cable designers and manufacturers to offer low smoke and halogen free cables as part of their product offering.

 Speaking prior to the event H&R ChemPharm (UK) Cable Product Manager Gavin Morland said;

“Wire Düsseldorf is now a regular event for the H&R ChemPharm (UK) cables business. It offers a platform on which to raise the profile of our products and capabilities internationally’

He went on to add;

‘It is also an opportunity for us to meet with and offer solutions advice to key members of the cables community, highlighting areas where our product would be of benefit in their products’.

Updates on the H&R stand leading up to Wire can be found via their website www.hur.com and social media pages.
