Secure your business: you’re invited to our Cyber Security Masterclass
5th June 2024Join us on Tuesday 16 July for a masterclass in business cyber security with Detective Inspector Michelle Ohren MA.
Michelle is the managing director of the Cyber Resilience Centre for the West Midlands. She presented at our Sandwell Ambassadors April meeting and it was such an eye-opening presentation that we asked her to facilitate a cyber security masterclass event for Sandwell businesses.
The cyber security masterclass will be a breakfast event, taking place from 7.30am on Tuesday 16 July at the Sandwell Start-Up Hub in Oldbury.
Michelle will deliver an informative presentation on cyber security and how your business is at risk of attack. She will cover topics such as:
- How to enhance personal work and cyber security
- Latest trends, threats and vulnerabilities
- Identifying and preventing phishing, smishing and vishing
- How to improve cyber security awareness among staff
- Latest password management techniques
- Social engineering tactics.
Who should attend?
If your business is based in Sandwell, come along. All sizes of business are welcome but it will be particularly useful for SMEs.
Why attend?
Come along to gain useful tips and advice on how to avoid becoming a victim of cyber crime and how to educate your staff on things to be aware of.
Criminals are always changing their tactics on how to target individuals and organisations online. When you understand what to look out for, it is possible to stop them, report fraudulent activity to the police and protect everyone else being targeted by the fraud.
This masterclass will raise awareness of cyber security issues. It will guide you on how to protect yourself, your staff and your customers from being targeted and victimised.
