Invitation to apply: Constructing West Midlands’ new construction framework

Looking forward to future business opportunities, we wanted to let you know that Constructing West Midlands (CWM) is inviting applications from contractors to participate in its next construction framework.

The contract notice is up and running on Contracts Finder, with the closing date for registering interest on Friday 24 April.

CWM is a ‘delivery vehicle’ for capital building works and repair and maintenance works for public sector organisations throughout the West Midlands region. For this framework the contracting authorities are Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Sandwell Council and multi-service company Acivico Limited.

Contractors who become part of the construction framework may secure work on projects in the following sectors (and please note this is not an exhaustive list):

* Education (including schools, colleges and universities)
* Housing (including low, medium and high-rise)
* Health and social care
* Sports, leisure and recreation
* Museums, art galleries and libraries
* Blue light, transport, infrastructure and public realm
* Recycling and waste centres
* Industrial, office, administrative and commercial buildings.

The main areas of activity will be individual construction projects, including new build, extensions, improvements, renovations, reinstatement, repairs, mechanical, electrical, services and infrastructure works. Design and other services may also be required.

The new framework agreement will initially last four years, with the option to extend for a further two years.

To apply for the construction framework, register via the e-tendering system CSW-JETS. Registration is free, and takes just a few minutes. Once registered, you will be able to express interest in any tender opportunities as they are made available, including this construction framework.
